How CIS-INC Works to Grow
Your Ministry or Mission

Dear Ministry/Mission Leader or Executive,

If you’re a Christian outreach leader, you know our world is turning upside down in these End Times. The whole communications, fundraising and media scene is changing right before our eyes and this is having big impacts on the work of God.

... AND if you know you need help to cope with the challenges of this down economy ... the new technologies ... the creative challenges ... then I have an invitation for you.

If you’re anything like me, I’m sure you want to get on with the work of God and never worry again about all the details of fundraising … media … communications and PR. (The challenges of spiritual warfare and the ministry itself are intense enough!)

Well, I have good news for you. While no effective leader can totally take his or her hands off the development part of the work – you can now delegate most of it to trained media professionals.

That’s how God has called us to help. The CIS-INC Talent Team is ready to come along side you and your staff. We can’t solve all your problems (no human can!) but we can help you place your message effectively in your part of the marketplace. We can help you put the mechanics in place to communicate your needs and collect the funds to cover them.

In fact, we understand your situation. I founded CIS while working as a bi-vocational missionary leader myself. I have been where you are many times over four decades. So I know how painful it is to lead your outreach ministry – and at the same time, to also have to mediate your message and fundraise!

Our fellowship began as a group of Christians called of God to work vocationally in the media and communications arts. We organized the Christian Media Fellowship (CMF) to encourage one another. Out of that grew the many ministry services of CIS-INC today – the very services you need to outsource to us.

Many of us in the media also wanted to offer our special skills in support of MISSIONS and MINISTRIES like yours. This called for us to work in temporary positions and project assignments – sometimes with co-workers that rarely understood the values or long-term perspectives of communications and development professionals.

It was called for us to build good, strong relations with low-cost fulfillment services, production houses and vendors.

It was out of this perfectly natural “conflict of interest” that I realized that CIS-INC had an important institutional role to play. Somebody is needed to help Christian MINISTRIES communicate their visions professionally. In fact, we have a critical role to play in your very survival!

Through the years we informally experimented and helped one mission after another with increasing degrees of success. There were some failures, but mostly by the grace and mercy of God there were successes:

• One of the first missions I helped began on kitchen table and had less than $300 a month income at the start. Today, it has now grown to over $50 million a year income. It works with indigenous missionaries in 38 nation states of Asia! All glory to God for the great things He has done!!
• Another early mission was bigger when we began, bringing in $12 million a year back then. We thought it was huge, but today it grosses over $3 billion a year and operates in almost every country of the world. Now, it is among the three largest charities in the USA. Again, all glory to God!!
• But I still appreciate “start-up” ministries the most. Another medium sized mission we helped transform was limited to fundraising in just churches and banquets when we started – raising $1 million a year. They were complete newbie’s to media world. Today they are using direct media to communicate their message and have reached the founder’s goal of a multi-million dollar annual income. Once again, I give all the glory to God!!!

But the times they are a changing as you well know…and your needs are growing.

New technology, the Internet, and a new generation of media-saturated youth are taking the stage. That means you will have to move with them while you continue to care for your existing support base. The "end times" decade just ahead requires intense spiritual warfare. This is practical conflict on a battlefield that Satan has illegally occupied. We must take it back.
